The Forge has one double bedroom, converted from the stable block. It beams are still embedded with the original ironmongery used to hold the horses in position whilst the blacksmith shod them. The room is bright and cheerful and has views onto the village green and St Catherine’s Church.
The room is a furnished with a wrought iron kingsize bed, wardrobe, bedside cabinets and reading lights, chest of drawers, dressing table and tub chair. The ceiling is high, allowing a punka fan/light, which when warmer in the summer months allows air to flow around the room. There is a digital radio alarm for those needing a reminder that it’s time to ‘shake a leg’.
